ማሕበረኮምና ኣብ ወርሒ መጋቢት 2, 2018 ብወግዒ ዝቖመ ኮይኑ ንመኽሰብ ዘይኮነ ብወለንታውነትን ብተወፋዪነት ዝሰርሕ ንኹሎም ኤርትራዊያን ኣብ ጓልፍን ከባቢኣን ዝነብሩ ዝሓቁፍ ጥርኑፍ ኣካል ናይ ምቛም ባህጊ ዘለዎ እዩ። ኣብዚ ከባቢ ዝቕመጡ ኤርትራዊያን ባህሎምን መንነቶምን ብኹርዓት መሰረት ጌሮም ምስቲ ዝበዝሐ ናይ ካናዳ ሕብረተሰብ ዘሕልፎ ሂወትን መነባብሮን ተወሃሂዶም ዝነብሩ፣ ሓድነት ዘልዎም፣ ኣብ ንጥፈታቶም ኣድማዕትን፣ ተወዳደርትን፣ ዕዉታትን ኤርትራዊያን ካናዳዊያን ንኽኾኑ ዘታባብዕ ማሕበር እዩ።
ዕላማ ማሕበረኮምና
1. ንኹሎም ኤርትራዊያን ሃይማኖታዊ አምነቶም፣ ብሄራዊ ድሕረባይትኦም፣ፖሊትካዊን ፍልስፍናዊን ኣታሓሳስቡኦም ብዘየገድስ ብፍልልያቶም ተኸባቢሮም ኣብቲ ዝዓበየን ኣገዳስን ናይ ሓባር ዝኣምኑሉን ጉዳይን ኣተሓሳስባን ዝያዳ ኣቓልቦ ብምግባር ብሓባር ክሰርሑን ኣብ መነባብሮኦም ተወዳደርትን ዕዉታትን ንኽኾኑ የተባብዕ።
2. ኤርትራኢያን ተኣኪቦም ነንሕድሕዶም ብዝበለጸ ዝላለዪሉ ድልዱልን ሓድነት ዘለዎ ኮሚኒቲ ንኽምስርቱ ዘታባብዕ ኮይኑ፣ ኣብ ኩሉ ሸነኻት ሂወቶም ናይ ምትሕብባርን ሓልዮትን መንፈስ ዝዓሰሎ ዝምድናታት ንኽህልዎም ይሰርሕ።
3. ንዝተጸገሙን ዝሓመሙን ኤርትራዊያን ዓቕሙ ብዘፍቀዶ ሓገዝ ይገብር።
4. ሓደስቲ ዝመጹ ኤርትራዊያን ብዝካኣሎ፡ ሓበሬታን ካልአ ዝኾነ ሓግዝን የበርክት፣ ን ሓደስቲ ዝመጹ ክሕግዙ ዝኽአሉ መንግስታዊያንን ዘይመንግስታዊያንን ትካላት ከምዝራኸቡ ይገብር።
5. ኤርትራዊያን ነንሕድሕዶም ኢህን ሚህን ዝብሃልሉ ሃዋሁ ንኽፈጥር ይጽዕር፣ ንናይ ሓባር ረብሓን ምዕባለን ን ክሰርሑ የታባብዕ።
6. ነቲ ብሉጽን ንነዊሕ ጊዜ ዝጸንሐ ምዕባለን ባህልን ያታን ኤርትራዊያን፣ ኤርትራዊያን ኣብ ካናዳ ንኽዕቅቡዎ ይጽዕር።
7. ኤርትራዊያን ን ካናዳ ከም ሃገሮም ከኽብርዋን ክፈትውዋን የተባብዕ።
8. ኤርትራዊያን ኣብ ናይ ባህላዊ ብዙሕነት ብምስታፍ፣ንካናዳዊያን ብዛዕባ ናይ ኤርትራ ባህሊ፣ ቋንቋ፣ ስነጽሑፍ፣ ብሙዚቃ ዝተሰነየ ባህላዊ ምርኢት የላሊ።
Eritrean Community of Guelph-Wellington (ECCG-W)
The Eritrean Community of Guelph-Wellington (ECCG-W) is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to supporting and empowering Eritrean Canadians living in Guelph and the surrounding Wellington region. Founded on the principles of unity, cultural pride, and mutual support, ECCG-W serves as a hub for cultural preservation, community development, and newcomer integration.
Our organization is proudly rooted in Eritrea’s deep cultural heritage while being fully engaged in the multicultural life of Canada. We aim to create a space where Eritrean Canadians can connect, celebrate their identity, support one another, and build bridges with the broader community.
Our Purpose
ECCG-W was established to respond to the unique needs of the Eritrean Canadian population in our region. Whether by helping newcomers settle and adapt, celebrating Eritrean traditions, or educating the public about Eritrea’s rich history and culture, our purpose is grounded in community service, cultural education, and collective growth.

Introducing Eritrean Canadian Community of Guelph Wellington (ECCG-W)
E.C.C.G-W was officially established on March 2, 2018. It is dedicated to promote a united, dynamic, competitive, effective and achieving Eritrean Canadian Community that is proudly rooted in the depth of the Eritrean heritage and which is successfully integrated into the mainstream Canadian life.
Who We Serve
- Newcomers seeking support with settlement, housing, employment, and understanding Canadian systems
- Youth and families wanting to stay connected to Eritrean heritage
- Elders and long-time residents looking for community and cultural continuity
- Canadians interested in learning about Eritrea and engaging in multicultural exchange
Our Work Includes:
- Hosting cultural events and celebrations (such as Eritrean Independence Day and cultural heritage festivals)
- Providing information and orientation sessions for newcomers
- Offering heritage programs for youth, including language classes and storytelling
- Organizing community workshops and networking opportunities
- Participating in local multicultural events to promote Eritrean culture
- Encouraging community dialogue and unity across ethnic, religious, and political lines
